The book underscores the need to empower children with self-esteem

Local singer and guitarist, Abigail Mwikisa, has pursued a new path – writing. She has published a children’s book titled “I am what I am,” a colourful work full of affirmations to boost self-esteem and confidence in children.

Abigail note: “Affirmations are thoughts, and thoughts affect feelings and our feelings create our life experiences. It is therefore important to feed children’s minds with positive affirmations and help make them part of their daily lives.

“‘I am what I am’ is a book of uplifting affirmations and fun. It is simple enough for children to grasp with ease. It is written with a rhythmic, poetic approach that is designed to teach children their potential, the importance of being eloquent speakers and that words carry power.”

The book is illustrated by Christophersen Kebakile and is currently available at BotswanaCraft and Studio M10.
