The Lounge Experiment Graces Talent From The UK
March 27
11:46 2018

Eclectic event, The Lounge Experiment, will on March 31st host three DJs from the United Kingdom (UK). The show, which offers a ‘science meets music’ experience, brings experimental cocktails, test tube shots and live lounge music to attendees.

“We are more than excited to be hosting international talent at the event. The DJs, being MAKOMCR, Metrodome and Levi Love are currently on tour in South Africa, and we are looking forward to them adding a great ambiance to the event. These are some of UK’s budding DJ talent to look out for,” says co-founder Bonolo Mogotsi.

Playing instruments and records from an early age MAKOMCR first started producing his own music around 2005. With a passion for bass heavy sound system music, Jungle, Dubstep, UK Garage, Hip Hop all played a key role in influencing his sound.  MAKOMCR also runs leading UK audio company Neuron Pro Audio, providing sound systems for world leading events such as Glastonbury and Dimensions festivals in Croatia, and for artists such as Theo Parrish, Laurent Garnier & Moodyman, on multiple occasions.

Metrodome is a particularly special musical character, DJ-ing in clubs many years before he was old enough to be in them. With the widest possible range of influences filtering through his productions and DJ sets, Metrodome started out as a turntablist. With a pair of vinyl releases already under his belt from Manchester imprints Wet Play and Red Laser Records, Metrodome is a core member of the LEVELZ production team.

Manchester-based Levi Love of Mas O Menos is a boy that let the beat of Chicago and Detroit House take him around the world. He mentions Theo Parrish amongst his distinguished mentors. It is often uncomfortable when people are put in a position whereby they have to state ‘categorically’ what their favourite track is. For Levi Love, his answer always comes at you with a speed of lightning: ‘IZ and DIZ – MOUTH’ (PePe Bradock Remix for Friends). Most countries in Europe have now heard Levi Love drop some serious sets in his time.

“We hope such interactions also foster music exchanges in the near future.  The event is also featuring amazing local talent such as DJ Bigga, Myza, Kmoe and Dzzious Christ as well as fusion duo Taola,” added Mogotsi.
