Nare resigns at Letlapeng

Renowned coach Daniel Chicco Nare has slapped Letlapeng management with a letter of resignation earlier this week amid allegations of crisis at the club.

Sources within the corridors of Letlapeng, a debutant in the top tier, told GP Sport that the outspoken Nare resigned due to lack of enough support from the management. Moreover, unconfirmed reports suggest that the team is embroiled in crisis as the management is divided on some issues.

It is understood that the alleged crisis that is said to have enveloped the club has affected the team’s play and results. This is said to have irked the former Extension Gunners and BMC FC mentor who immediately penned the resignation letter. However, Letlapeng chairman Sidney Magagane confirmed that Nare resigned on Monday citing that the results are not coming. “He resigned yesterday and wrote that it is because the results are not coming.”

Asked about management’s lack of support to coach Nare, Magagane denied saying they have backed him. “I heard about those rumours and it is ot true. We did support Nare. We bought the players he wanted except for those who were contracted to their teams,” Magagane said adding that “there is no crisis at the club”.

Nare was roped in by Letlapeng last month. With his tactical master class, Nare was brought into the fold to perform a daring escape from the wrong end of the table. His mission to save the Ramotswa based side from the looming dreaded axe started last month against Orapa United where they were defeated 4-0. Nare then lead his charges against Motlakase Power Dynamos and FC Satmos where he was defeated 3-1 and 4-0 respectively.

Nare who was poached from BMC FC was inheriting a side which has been without a coach since the departure of Thaloba Machine Nthaga last year.  With Nare now out of the picture, Rock of Ages have roped Matshidiso Moseki on interim basis. Moseki who was Nare’s assistant is faced with an uphill task similar to that of Nare. Currently, Letlapeng is rooted at the bottom of the log with only 8 points collected from 18 rounds-but the ambition of Letlapeng management is too see the team escaping from the bottom of the log.
