BDP Gaborone Region Bids President Khama farewell

The five constituencies of Gaborone, which make up the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) Gaborone region, converged at the Maharaja Conference Centre to bid outgoing president Dr. Ian Khama farewell.

The occasion was characterised by messages of gratitude to the outgoing president‘s stellar leadership. The Vice President Mokgweetsi Masisi, leaders of the women’s and youth wings Dorcas Makgatho and BDP Youth League President Simon Moabi Mavange, party Secretary General Mpho Balopi, member of the party executive committee General Tebogo Masire and Gaborone Region Chairperson, McDonald Peloetletse were among the speakers.

President Dr. Khama bid members of his party farewell and said he was available post his tenure to assist the BDP in any way it may require.

After serving his two five year terms, President Dr. Khama tenure ends on March 31st and he will be succeeded by the current Vice President Mokgweetsi Masisi.
