Exotic cars, big leagues and super cars are just some of the exciting facets automotive enthusiasts can look forward to at this year’s Stanbic Bank Gaborone Motor Show. The annual event, which continues to garner popularity with each passing year, will take place from 4th to 6th May at Game City Mall.
“This event, which started in 2013, was designed around the dealer council, in an attempt to highlight the new car automotive industry in Botswana. It’s a great opportunity for the public to appreciate and buy exhibited cars in a more engaging manner,” stated event organiser Christian Ernest.
Platinum sponsor, Stanbic Bank, noted how their involvement in the show was a strategic decision to engage their consumers in a refreshing way: “This is the second consecutive year that Stanbic Bank Botswana shows support for the event, with a focus on being part of customers’ lives in a real and meaningful way. The Bank serves as the ideal financial partner for customers who are purchasing their first car, financing their second vehicle, or even their children’s first vehicle. These are important parts of what Stanbic Bank do and what the Bank is about,” stated Terrence Showa, Head of Vehicle and Asset Finance.
Other activities will include new car launches, raffles, mini car racing and kids play areas: “The event speaks to everyone, from the young ones to the old. It has something for everyone,” added Ernest, who noted that a Polo Vivo is also up for grabs. “By buying our P100 all access ticket, you are entered automatically into the car raffle.”
A new industry player, Liberty General, is also supporting the event as a sponsor. “For us, it’s an exciting way to create a platform for vehicle insurance that speaks to the customer’s interests,” said Managing Director Sethunya Molosiwa.
The Stanbic Bank Botswana Gaborone Motor Show will be open to all members of the public. Tickets can be purchased upon entry, 4-6 May 2018, at Game City Mall.
