“With the advent of the digital age and easy accessibility to mobile phones, social media and the Internet, fashion has a new meaning. Online apparel sales are as important as store sales. The world of fashion is artistically, culturally and commercially involved in the digital world. Fashion is not only changing faster, it is reaching people in every part of the world at a great pace because of the digital world.”
Masa Square Hotel launched its 2018 Fashion Show and Fashion Mentorship program under the riveting theme: ‘Fashion in the Digital Age’. The business-first hotel opened their initiative year with a night of swank, great food and great wines on June 14th 2018. This is the hotel’s fifth season of the renowned fashion show, and the hotel’s second year running of the Masa Square Hotel Fashion Mentorship Program.
Sales and Marketing Manager, Neo Nkele said: “We are delighted to open the 2018 season of our show, which has evidently grown over the years and we are proud of our growth. We are even more excited to bring our second installment of the Masa Square Hotel Fashion Mentorship Program which now debuts Botswana’s rising stars in couture. Our theme for 2018 therefore is to drive the relevant conversation about doing business in the digital age because the Botswana consumer today is exceptionally smart-technology savvy. Our theme challenges our fashion team and ourselves to mesh traditional with modern perspectives and we look forward to bringing to Gaborone a thrilling show.”
