Managing of Director Tsa Gae Pty Ltd, Ludo Kemoeng says there is a need for all those associated with Extension Gunners to work together for the betterment of the team.  Otherwise known as All-Kasi, Tsa Gae is clothing and Sportswear Company that is responsible for the management of the Lobatse based outfit.

Kemoeng was speaking at the unveiling ceremony of their new sponsors Meizu held in Gaborone recently. “The coach must coach, players must play and supporters must support. Most importantly it is vital that as we go forward we review ourselves as a team otherwise this huge supporter base we have won’t be useful to us. We won’t be able to turn it into any tangible asset, so it is key that we encourage our supporters to desist from constant condemnation of the club but rather come forth and aid the club in any way they can,” he advised. Gunners, affectionately known as ‘Mapantsula,’ is regarded to have the largest supporter base in Botswana.

Moreover, Kemoeng encouraged Gunners supporters to venture into direct funding of the club as the team cannot survive through ticket and merchandise sales. “The biggest support that the club needs is not necessarily during game day but it’s rather financial. We are interested in bringing a coach from Europe and we are in constant talks with agents there but we cannot do that without funds,” he noted.  He pointed out that the club is not going to create further problems for itself by pretending that it has money.

Meanwhile ‘Mapuntsula’ unveiled a Chinese Mobile company, Meizu as their new sponsors in a one year deal worth P335 000. The deal will see P250 000 of the money directed to the operations of the club, P30 000 to recruitment of new players whereas the other P30 000 will be used for applying the sponsors logo in the team replica (5000 t-shirts). The remaining P25 000 will be given to the team midfielder Mothusi Cooper who has been roped in as the face of the partnership.

“Meizu want us to be their business partners and grow together for greater things to come in the future. They also expect us to buy their products so that this may pave way for more mutually beneficial partnerships in the future,” stated Gunners general manager, Ian Kebopetswe.” I therefore urge all our supporters to embrace Meizu and play an active role in incepting them to our club and football culture while at the same time we afford them the necessary business support and the mileage they deserve.”

‘Mapantsula’ will start wearing chest branded Meizu replica from their next league encounter.
